What is Sublimation?.....
This is the number one question for our
customers to ask. Sure, it might be
confusing to think that there is another
process for shirt printing besides a
screen print. We find that we can do a
design using sublimation that competes
very good with a screen printing.
We also find that it is a simpler process to
work with. If you can afford the ink, and
have a good sense of creating art, then
you can master using sublimation.
Besides, if you use a screen printer, then
you know the messes that are involved.
Sublimation is a clean process and mostly
a one-step process. Once it is designed
on a computer, then you print it out and
burn it onto whatever item you want.
Perhaps the biggest problem for
sublimation would be scanning a picture
to be used. You will have to work and
open the scanner lid, but that's it.
Sublimation is process in which it is a
special type of ink. One of a few that is a
liquid, then a solid, and then a gas. The
ink turns into a gas under high
temperatures and pressure. The gas
penetrates the fabric or the coating on
some material. Yes, sublimation is a dye
which makes it a permanent part of what
it burns into. But it is the best (if not the
only way) to do an original picture onto
an object. That is why we go to live
events and make things while you wait.
We have found that this is what makes us
different than other businesses in doing
shirts or coffee mugs.
We can give you maybe 50 different
shades of color per graphic. That is 50
different screens to have to prepare,
burn, wash and dry, tape, and make sure
they all line up to each other. For us,
that is 15 minutes of design work and 1
minute of printing. We are only limited in
size of design, to the size of the heat
press. (To be true, I don't know how
many shades are in a common picture).
Cons: Forget those dark colored t-shirts
that many like. Sublimation is transparent
and if you printed that onto a dark t-shirt
there wouldn't be any image seen on it.
So we do offer colors, but they are all
lighter in color. But if you want a dark
colored shirt, then we will sublimate the
whole shirt for you. That's because the
whole shirt is able to do that in this
process.
One other thing is that we must use a
synthetic polyester shirt. But we use a
spun polyester that feels just like cotton,
and softball players love how this material
will take moisture away from the body.
Oh, I almost forgot that there isn't any
set-up fee for our designs. That is all
part of our final price.

Pillows - The one shown above is
actually one type of printing that we do
this with, but it isn't sublimated. But
you can use a strong polyester blend
pillow case (white preferred), and it will
work fine. Add whatever you want, as
the pillow case will work for sublimation
printing. This was our pet that just
passed away in early March '09.

Full-Color Plaques - As you can see
from the above "original", we can do a
lot of stuff to your plaque. Add a full
color picture or graphic. Your logo for
employee of the month would work just
fine. We will do them for your event as
well.

picture of a grandchild or a pet, or an
athlete. We will add that picture to a
hardboard, and cut it out. We also
add a stand for it, and engraving if
liked. What a great treasure.

Car Show Extras: It isn't pictured but we will make dash plaques for car shows.
Yes, we can also make your presentation plaques with the winning car on them
at the Car Show event. We just need a little time to get this prepared and will
