WHY DO WE NEED SOMETHING LIKE THIS?......

Having just spending eight years, as a local Historical Society President.  You can see the need of
preserving our past.  We are in a time where there is a small portion of the people who even want to save
our history.  Car Shows often draw large crowds and cars.  It is getting to be more popular to have tractor
shows, and that is good.  But there still is the need to get the interest out for the next generation to
remember the past.  We are living in a time, when the stories and memories will be gone.  So, this event is
made for farmers, ranchers, classic car collectors and old machinery collectors to gather.
We hope that this event will bring in the younger generation, and that they will ask questions.  We want
everyone to talk about what times were like, and how their equipment were used.  Classic Cars also were a
big part of our nation's growth.  Our greatest generation is getting thinner, and we want to allow everyone
the chance to see and enjoy the work that these collectors have done.

If the younger will not take advantage of things like this, then we will lose a big part of our past.  We Thank
people like Gary and Lori Metzger, Richard Breinig, and Jim Mollhoff for taking the time to get the interest
in our area going with old tractors.  It is our hope that this will somewhat compliment what they have done.
But give all credit to them for what they have accomplished.

BC Original Graphics sponsors this event, but give Thanks to the Holbrook Days Committee for allowing us
to do this.  Please look at the Holbrook Days flier to be posted very soon.
We are still trying to get the design
finished and will get it published very soon.
